This website has no accounts, no forms and no newsletter sign-up. We collect as little as a website can.
Who we are
Cards Authority (cardsauthority.com) is an independent publisher based in India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary for any personal data processed by this website.
What we collect
- No personal details. We don't ask for your name, phone number, email, PAN, Aadhaar or card details anywhere on this site.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting and our CDN and security provider (Cloudflare) process technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and block abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify you.
- Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
When you click out
Apply buttons and Amazon links take you to third-party sites: banks, affiliate networks (such as EarnKaro and PaisaWapas), American Express and Amazon.in. Those services may set cookies to record that you arrived from Cards Authority, which is how a referral is credited. What they collect is governed by their own privacy policies, so read them before you share information.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, and raise a grievance. Because we don't collect personal details, in most cases there will be nothing to return. To make a request, message @CAuthorityHQ on X with the subject "Privacy". We respond within 30 days.
Children
Credit cards in India are for adults. This site is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If we start collecting anything new, for example an opt-in reminder service, this page will say what, why and for how long before it goes live.
